Lisbon Today is a personal project, built for me and my friends. We’re expats, building a life in a city we’ve grown to love through its sunsets, cute cafés and little cultural happenings.
The trouble is that so much of it lives on Instagram, scattered across creators’ posts and stories, or buried in cultural agendas that are not so easy to scan. And we all want to spend less and less time on that damn infinite scroll, don’t we?
So I built something to keep track of the things we care about. The small jams we love. The venues we keep going back to. The open air cinemas, clubs and communities we want to hear from.
All in one place, ready for whenever a friend asks: “What should we do today?” or “Where to now?”
Because Lisbon is full of little things worth leaving the house for.
Lisbon Today follows a small, handpicked list of Instagram accounts and venue websites. If it is here, it means we love the place.
Every few hours, we check those sources for what is new. Instagram captions, stories, flyers, event listings, ticket pages. All the little places where Lisbon quietly tells you what is happening.
Every event comes down to four things: what, where, when, how much. When something is missing, we leave it blank. The original source is always there when you want to dig deeper.
